Mahesh Bhatt introduced Vinod Khanna to Osho, leading Khanna to dedicate himself to spirituality and leave Bollywood. Bhatt, however, soon renounced his spiritual path, angering Osho. Khanna informed Bhatt of Osho's displeasure after Bhatt threw his mala in the commode. Osho predicted Bhatt would regret his betrayal of sannyas, highlighting the broken sacred bond.
