Guwahati police have issued a legal notice to political parties in Assam who have called for a 'Sarbatmak Hartal' to protest against the CAA

The notice states that any damage to public or private property, including railway and national highway properties, or injury to citizens due to 'Sarbatmak Hartal' will result in legal action under the Indian Penal Code and Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act, 1984.
