On the occasion of Vinayagar Chaturthi, instructions/restrictions for the installation and worship of Vinayagar idols:

1. Land owners where Vinayagar idols are going to be installed must have obtained permission from local bodies concerned, Highway Department or Government Department.

2. Must have obtained No Objection Certificate from Fire Department, Electricity Board, etc.

3. Obtain permission from the police station officer concerned by by filling up the forms for installation of Vinayagar idols, undertaking to abide by the restrictions and conditions mentioned therein.

4. The height of the statue to be installed should not exceed 10 feet from the base of the platform.

5. Installation of idols near places of Worship, Hospitals, Educational institutions should be avoided.

6. There should be no room for shouting and chanting in a manner that incites religious hatred or hurts the sentiments of other religions.

7. Two volunteers should be deputed on a 24-hour rotation to ensure the safety of the idols.

8. Banners/billboards in support of any political parties or religious leaders should not be placed at the worship point.

9. Fire safety rules and regulations must be followed, Electrical wire connections; Pandals should be monitored periodically to avoid accidents and mishaps.

10. On days permitted by Police for immersion of Vinayagar idols, idols should be carried in permitted four-wheelers on permitted routes only and peacefully immersed.

11. Bursting of firecrackers is not allowed in places where Vinayagar idols are installed, procession routes and immersion Points.

Live a SIMPLE life - I beg to disagree

I am sure many wise people must have told you to live a simple and humble life

Mohandas lived a very simple life, He lived life out of 2 dhotis but in Sarojini Naidu words, his simplicity was very expensive, more expensive than a business man of that time

So the question is, is simple life concept a piece of just a marketing tool to fool people? What is the use of that simple life when it needs a lot of money to maintain

My personal view of experience is quite blunt. Let me explain with an example

I worked very hard for 30/40 years. Paid my taxes, and looked after my family and samaj. Shared my wealth to uplift people around me and contribute to the nation. Still, you should live a simple life. Why shouldn't i get a BMW for myself or live in a good house?

If I have accumulated a million airline miles why should I travel economy when my business class can be free. Just to show people that I am simple?

Do you know the British never had English word for धर्म, कर्म, एंड सरल

सरल is not simple, same as dharma is not religion

I believe that life should not be just simple but the most important is that one should live a सरल Jeevan

What does it mean to me?

सरल for me is ease. This means I should be सरल so that no one has fear while talking to me, no one feels threatened to meet me, I should be easily approachable, I can sit with a top businessman at the same time have no hesitation sitting with the poorest farmer in his field.

Simple is all about things outside you while सरल is all about inside you

Like religion is all about the outside while Sanatan is inside

Humbleness comes from सरल life not simple

Shri Ram was not simple, he did carry his bow and arrow but he was सरल that even Kevat can refuse him, nishadraj could hug him and he could sit with Nal and Neel to make a bridge
