Delhi school fee regulation bill 2025 draws praise from parents, criticism from opposition
Posted
The Delhi Cabinet's approval of the Delhi School Education Transparency in Fixation and Regulation of Fees Bill, 2025, has drawn strong reactions. Parents and school principals welcomed its transparency and parent representation provisions, while AAP leader Atishi criticised it for offering no relief for fee hikes already imposed in the 2025–26 academic year. The bill includes a three-tier fee regulation system and penalties up to Rs 10 lakh for violations, aiming to regulate 1,677 private schools in Delhi.
