Javed Akhtar, a famous Bollywood lyricist, spoke about his past alcohol addiction. He used to consume large quantities of beer and rum. Akhtar revealed that drinking brought out a different side of him. He regrets his drinking days and advises his younger self to abstain. Akhtar quit drinking on July 31, 1991, and has remained sober ever since.
