EXPLAINED: How new IPL player replacement rule will benefit franchises

With several Australian players unavailable for the remainder of IPL 2025, the BCCI has permitted franchises to sign temporary replacements who won't be eligible for retention next season. Jake Fraser-McGurk will not participate, and Delhi Capitals have already secured Mustafizur Rahman as his replacement for Rs 6 Crore.
