Colombian lawmakers reject president's labor reform referendum
Postado
Colombian lawmakers have rejected President Gustavo Petro's referendum aimed at overhauling labor laws, including limiting workdays and increasing holiday pay. Petro, denouncing the vote as fraudulent, accuses lawmakers of obstructing his social initiatives. However, a rare maneuver has revived Petro's labor reform proposal, giving lawmakers until June 20 to reconsider and potentially approve it.
