The Supreme Court clarified on Monday that there's no mandatory one-year jail term before bail in money laundering cases, granting relief to an accused in the Chhattisgarh liquor scam. Justices Oka and Bhuyan emphasized that a year-long custody isn't a prerequisite for bail.
