A Cessna 550 Citation crashed near San Diego's Montgomery-Gibbs Executive Airport, likely killing six, including music executive Dave Shapiro. The crash occurred in heavy fog with runway lights out and a disabled weather alert system. The pilot, aware of the conditions, attempted the landing after a flight from New Jersey, refueling in Kansas.
