A wildfire rapidly spread through the historic Fort Stanton site in southern New Mexico, burning over half a square mile and damaging three structures. The blaze prompted evacuations of nearby campgrounds and a horse ranch as ground crews, helicopters, and air tankers worked to contain the uncontained fire.
