Karnataka's deputy CM defended the state government's response to the Bengaluru stampede, citing a judicial inquiry and CID investigation, while dismissing BJP's calls for resignation as political opportunism. The BJP criticised the hasty organisation of the RCB victory parade and demanded government accountability. CM Siddaramaiah had announced major action against top cops, officials of the RCB team, state cricket body and the event management company.
