After coming up against defending champions Spain in the final, Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal forced the game into penalties after finishing the game 2-2 in normal time. Ronaldo scored the equalizer for his side as they beat Luis de la Fuente's men 5-3 on penalties to lift their second crown in the competition.
