Maoist Ravi, sixth member of a family killed in gunfight with security forces

Gajarla Ravi, a Maoist central committee member, was recently killed by Andhra police, marking the end of his family's long association with insurgency. He is the sixth member of his extended family to die in gunfights with security forces. Four of Gajarla Mallaiah's five sons went underground, with Ravi and another brother, Saraiah, killed in separate encounters.
