Tagore's 'heart' fetches Rs 1 cr & letters Rs 5.9 cr

A sculpture attributed to Rabindranath Tagore, believed to be dedicated to Kadambari Devi, fetched Rs 1.04 crore at a Kolkata auction. Additionally, a collection of 35 handwritten letters from Tagore to sociologist Dhurjati Prasad Mukerji sold for Rs 5.9 crore. The sculpture, 'The Heart,' created in 1883, holds immense historical and artistic value.
