HC: Court can't take cognisance of PMLA case without hearing accused

The Calcutta High Court has quashed PMLA proceedings against Tutu Ghosh, Bipin Kumar Kedia, and Anil Kumar Jain. The court held that a hearing for the accused is mandatory under the BNSS before a court can acknowledge a case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
