Can you drive in the UAE with GCC licence? Eligibility and exchange rules explained
Posted
The UAE has clarified driving licence rules for GCC nationals under its updated Markhoos initiative. While GCC citizens can drive using their home licences during visits, they must exchange them upon gaining UAE residency. Former GCC residents may need to take tests depending on their nationality. The policy also covers 52 countries eligible for direct licence recognition and exchange.
