The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department has partnered with Al Maryah Bank to become the first government body in the Middle East to accept digital currency for legal service payments. The move introduces AE Coin, a UAE-regulated stablecoin pegged to the dirham, into public-sector transactions—aiming to modernise government services, improve efficiency, and boost financial innovation.
