UAE: Driverless taxis now operating in two major Abu Dhabi islands, key info explained

Abu Dhabi expands its smart transport project. Driverless taxis are now running in Al Reem and Al Maryah Islands. This marks a big step in the city’s plan. The service started in late 2024. It connects business, residential, and financial zones. One in four trips in the city will be powered by smart transport by 2040.
