A Chinese climber, Guan Jing, tragically died on K2 after being struck by falling rocks during her descent from the summit. The incident occurred on the perilous Abruzzi Spur route, between Camp I and Advanced Base Camp. Guan Jing was among roughly 30 climbers who had successfully reached K2's peak a day prior.
