चाचा नेहरू ने चांदी के चम्मच से चीन के सैनिकों को चावल क्यों खिलाया??? – नेहरू का रोचक संस्मरण

चीन की सेना जब तिब्बत पर जबरन कब्जा करके बैठी थी तो इस जालिम सेना को चाचा नेहरू चावल भेजते थे। 21 जून 1952 को दिल्ली में एक प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस में नेहरू से जब चावल के बारे में सवाल पूछा गया तो नेहरू ने जो कहा था वो प्रकाशित हुआ है सेलेक्टेड वर्क्स ऑफ जवाहरलाल नेहरू, सीरीज़- 2, वाल्यूम- 18, पेज नंबर- 476-77पर... नेहरू ने कहा था -

“चीन को बहुत अधिक मात्रा में चावल नहीं भेजे गये हैं। स्पेशल केस होने की वजह से हमने कम मात्रा में ही चावल भेजा है। जैसा कि आप जानते हैं कि दुर्गम पहाड़ी इलाका होने की वजह ये एक मुश्किल मार्ग है, यहां कोई भी काम आसान नहीं है लेकिन चीन की ज़रूरत को देखते हुए हम थोड़ी-बहुत मात्रा में चावल देने पर सहमत हो गये हैं। चीन की सेना को इस चावल की बहुत ज़रूरत है और हम उनको जिंदा रखने में मदद कर रहे हैं लेकिन हम उन्हें तिब्बत से बाहर भी देखना चाहते हैं।"

पढ़ा आपने... नेहरू कहते हैं कि चीन की सेना को चावल की बहुत ज़रूरत है.... और ये चावल डिप्लोमेसी लंबे समय तक जारी रही... 1954 के जुलाई के आखिर में नेहरू ने अपने विदेश सचिव को पत्र में लिखा कि -

“मेरा स्पष्ट मानना है कि हमें चीन को किसी भी मात्रा में चावल बेचने के लिए सहमत हो जाना चाहिए। हमें एक विशाल मात्रा में चावल का स्टॉक प्राप्त हुआ है। यदि चीनी तिब्बत को चावल पहुंचाना चाहते हैं तो हमें इस पर भी आपत्ति नहीं करना चाहिए। चीन को चावल देना हमारी स्वस्थ खाद्य नीति के लिए उचित होगा।"

इस महीने एक और पत्र में नेहरू लिखते हैं – “हम चीन के साथ पेट्रोल और डीज़ल का भी व्यापार कर सकते हैं लेकिन इसकी मात्रा कम होना चाहिए।" यानी चाचा नेहरू ने चीन को तिब्बत में पेट्रोल और डीज़ल भी दिया।

+ भारत का कलिमपोंग जहां ल्हासा से सिर्फ 389 किलोमीटर दूर था वहीं ल्हासा से त्वांग की दूरी महज 240 किलोमीटर थी

+ अपने सैनिकों तक चावल पहुंचाने के लिए चीन के प्रधानमंत्री चाऊ एन लाई ने 5 अप्रैल 1952 को भारत के राजदूत के.एम. पणिक्कर को तलब किया

+ 24 मई 1952 को नेहरू ने पणिक्कर को एक पत्र लिखा जिसमें उन्होने तिब्बत तक पूरे साढ़े तीन लाख टन चावल पहुंचाने को हरी झंडी दे दी
