On Republic Day eve 2025, the Padma Awards recognized Arijit Singh, Ricky Kej, Shekhar Kapur, and Ajith Kumar. Late ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas, who passed away in February 2024, was posthumously honored with the Padma Bhushan.
