Brazil Supreme Court ratifies ex-president Collor de Mello's sentence

Brazil's Supreme Court has confirmed a nearly nine-year prison sentence for ex-president Fernando Collor de Mello, convicted of corruption and money laundering related to the "Car Wash" scandal. Collor de Mello, who served as president from 1990 to 1992, was found guilty of accepting bribes while a senator to facilitate contracts with Petrobras.
