Who is Justice BR Gavai? 52nd Chief Justice of India set to take oath on May 14

Justice Bhushan Ramkrishna Gavai was appointed as the 52nd Chief Justice of India. He will succeed Justice Sanjiv Khanna. President Droupadi Murmu will administer the oath on May 14. Justice Gavai's legal career began in 1985. He served as a government pleader and public prosecutor.
