Election Commission to implement electronic death data integration to clean voter rolls
نشر بتاريخ
The Election Commission of India is set to streamline voter roll updates by electronically obtaining death registration data from the Registrar General of India. This initiative, enabled by amendments to the Registration of Births and Deaths Act, aims to reduce reliance on manual field visits. Booth level officers will still verify death information.
