Ugandan army chief says torturing opposition aide 'in his basement'

Uganda's main opposition leader, Bobi Wine, said on Friday the army had raided his party's headquarters, hours after the head of the army claimed to have abducted Wine's bodyguard and was torturing him "in his basement". On Friday he said on X that security forces had "just raided and cordoned off our headquarters".
