Government unexpectedly terminates IMF ED (India) KV Subramanian’s services 6 months ahead of tenure

The government has prematurely ended KV Subramanian's term as India's executive director at the IMF, effective April 30, 2025, without providing an official reason. Subramanian, who began his tenure in November 2022, had previously served as the government's chief economic advisor.
