Amidst escalating tensions with Pakistan and ongoing exchanges of fire along the Line of Control, both Prime Minister Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will skip Russia's Victory Day parade in Moscow. Junior Defence Minister Sanjay Seth is expected to represent India at the May 9th celebrations.
