Sebi, FinMin push centralised KYC rollout; AI tools tackle 70,000 fraud cases: Pandey

Sebi is collaborating with the Finance Ministry and regulators to establish a centralised KYC system, aiming for enhanced efficiency. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced a revamped central KYC registry to be launched in 2025. Sebi is also leveraging AI for market surveillance and faster IPO processing, while addressing risks associated with algorithmic trading.
