Posted
The Supreme Court has scheduled a hearing on May 15, before a bench led by CJI-designate B R Gavai, to address petitions challenging the constitutionality of the Waqf Amendment Act, 2025. This decision follows the Centre's pause on key aspects of the law and assurances given to the court regarding waqf property denotification and appointments to the Central Waqf Council.
