Kerala to add over 64,000 Plus One seats across most districts to ensure higher education access for all

To ensure higher education access for all eligible students, Kerala government will increase Plus One seats in most districts, except Kottayam, Pathanamthitta and Idukki. Minister V Sivankutty announced a 30% increase in government schools and 20% in aided schools across seven districts. An additional 64,040 seats will be available for the 2025-26 academic year, bringing the total to 4,41,887.
