Bill Gates met the Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto to discuss health and sustainable development initiatives. Gates praised Indonesia's vaccine adoption and efforts in reducing child mortality. The Gates Foundation is developing a tuberculosis vaccine for testing in Indonesia, where TB remains a deadly disease. Gates has granted over USD 159 million to Indonesia since 2009, largely for vaccine procurement.
