Akhtar on darkest days: ‘I never thought of suicide'
Veteran lyricist and screenwriter Javed Akhtar, who played a key role in the introduction of the Copyright Amendment Act 2012, recently opened up about the industry’s backlash following the reform. The amendment was a landmark decision aimed at ensuring fair revenue for lyricists and composers, many of whom had long been denied their rightful share.
