Sheikh Hasina’s Awami League banned by Bangladesh’s interim government
Posted
Bangladesh's interim administration has banned the Awami League, the party of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, under the anti-terrorism law. This ban, pending formal notification, will remain until the International Crimes Tribunal concludes trials against the party and its leaders regarding events before and during their rule, which ended after a July 2024 uprising.
