A Listeria outbreak traced to Fresh and Ready Foods in California has led to ten hospitalizations across California and Nevada. The FDA identified Listeria monocytogenes in the company's facility, matching the strain found in infected patients. Consequently, Fresh and Ready Foods has initiated a voluntary recall of various ready-to-eat products with use-by dates ranging from April 22 to May 19.
