Simi Garewal, at 77, will make her Cannes red carpet debut on May 19 for the screening of the 4K restored version of Satyajit Ray’s 1970 classic Aranyer Din Ratri. The event, part of the Cannes Classics section, celebrates Ray’s cinematic legacy with appearances by Sharmila Tagore and filmmaker Wes Anderson.
