Ranya's mother challenges detention in Karnataka HC

HP Rohini approached the Karnataka High Court. She sought relief for her daughter, Ranya Rao. Ranya was arrested in a gold smuggling case in March. Authorities seized gold bars worth Rs 12.56 crore. The Ministry of Finance issued a detention order. This allows detention for up to one year. Telugu actor Tarun Konduru Raju is also involved.
