Jasmine Paolini creates history with her maiden Italian Open title

Jasmine Paolini clinched the Italian Open title, defeating Coco Gauff in straight sets. Paolini became the first Italian woman since 1985 to win the Rome event. Gauff struggled with unforced errors, while Paolini, at 29, became the oldest woman to win her first Rome title in the Open Era. Paolini is also in contention for the doubles title.
