Afghanistan has been struck by a series of earthquakes over the past four days, with the latest being a 4.2 magnitude tremor. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 140 kms. The country is prone to seismic activity due to its location on several fault lines. These frequent disasters exacerbate the challenges faced by vulnerable communities already struggling with conflict and under-development.
