Former Senegal minister charged over Covid fund fraud

In Senegal, ex-minister Salimata Diop faces charges of misusing Covid funds. She served under former President Macky Sall. Diop is accused of complicity in embezzlement. She was released on bail after being charged. Other former ministers are also under investigation. President Bassirou Diomaye Faye vowed to fight corruption.
