Republic Airways flight aborts takeoff to avoid collision at LaGuardia airport due to apparent miscommunication between controllers

A near-miss at LaGuardia Airport saw two planes narrowly avoid collision due to a miscommunication between air traffic controllers. An American Eagle flight had to abort takeoff as a United Airlines plane was still on the runway. Investigations are underway by the FAA and NTSB.
