SC bars fresh law graduates from judicial exams, mandates 3 years’ legal practice

The Supreme Court of India has ruled that fresh law graduates are no longer eligible to appear in judicial service examinations, mandating a minimum of three years of legal practice. Certification from senior advocates or judicial officers is required, and one year of training is mandated before assuming court duties.
