Senior Jharkhand IAS officer Vinay Kumar Choubey arrested in liquor scam case

Jharkhand IAS officer Vinay Kumar Choubey was arrested by Chhattisgarh's anti-corruption bureau in connection with a liquor scam. An FIR was filed against Choubey for allegedly causing financial losses to Jharkhand's exchequer by altering the state's liquor policy. The syndicate allegedly manipulated tender norms to favor certain companies, earning illegal commissions.
