Donald Trump has nominated Darryl Nirenberg, a Senate staffer with 40 years of foreign policy experience, as the next US Ambassador to Romania. Nirenberg's responsibilities will include strengthening ties, supporting military partnerships, and promoting American economic and security interests. He previously served as Counsel to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and is currently a partner at Steptoe law firm.
