Tigers, jaguars and elephants are the latest to flee cartel violence in Mexico's Sinaloa
Posted

In Culiacan, Mexico, a sanctuary moved animals due to cartel violence. Tigers, lions, and elephants were among those relocated. Rival Sinaloa Cartel factions fought for control. This led to threats and supply shortages for the Ostok Sanctuary. The organization transported 700 animals to Mazatlan. Staff feared the violence would spread. The move was a desperate attempt to protect the animals.
