Senator Ted Cruz pushes $10 billion federal plan to give families more control over US K-12 education
Posted
Senator Ted Cruz has introduced the Universal School Choice Act, a $10 billion federal plan to expand school choice across the US. The bill offers annual tax credits to individuals and businesses that donate to nonprofits funding K-12 scholarships. These funds can be used for tuition, books, tutoring, and religious or homeschool education. Backed by the Texas Public Policy Foundation, the proposal is part of a broader Republican effort to give parents more control over education.
