EU agrees to lift economic sanctions on Syria

The European Union has decided to lift economic sanctions on Syria, announced EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas, aiming to aid the nation's reconstruction towards an inclusive and peaceful future. While sanctions on individuals and entities linked to the Assad regime and human rights abuses remain, this decision follows a similar move by the US.
