Ukrainian ex-politician shot dead in Madrid

A former Ukrainian politician, Andriy Portnov, was fatally shot outside a school in Madrid on Wednesday morning. The 51-year-old, a senior aide to ex-President Viktor Yanukovich, was attacked by unidentified gunmen who fled the scene. Portnov, who faced prior investigations and sanctions, was found shot in the back and head.
