The Marubo tribe of the Brazilian Amazon is suing The New York Times, TMZ, and Yahoo for defamation over stories about their initial exposure to the internet. The tribe claims the reporting portrayed them as addicted to pornography and unable to handle technology, leading to widespread misperceptions and damaging their community.
