Posted
Chiquita Brands has terminated its striking workers in Panama after over three weeks of nationwide protests against social security reforms. President Mulino deemed the strike illegal, involving around 5,000 workers, and blamed the union leader for significant damage to the Bocas del Toro job sector. The company reported losses of at least $75 million due to the work stoppage.
