Dutch synagogues filled with life 80 years after WWII
نشر بتاريخ
Europe marked 80 years since World War II's end. The Netherlands witnessed the decimation of its Jewish population. Amsterdam's Sephardic Jews built a grand synagogue. Poorer Ashkenazi Jews also established synagogues. The Uilenburger synagogue is now restored. Sliedrecht's synagogue, built on a dike, faced ruin. Locals saved it. It now hosts events, preserving Jewish history. These restorations honor lost communities.
